If the W.H. is listening, then listen to this.

The Senate weasels need to be exposed to the people.

To do that, there would likely be casulaties.

Taxes, WOT, etc...

But do you want to take those injuries when you still have an army and upcoming election to fight back, or take them when you are in your last two years unable to strongly fight back.

Either way what we are headed for is a tax hike, more government control, no constitutionalists, terrorists protected more than our own citizens, withdrawal of our troops...all this is coming folks.

Expose the Traitors in the GOP, Expose the Red state Dems to their constituents. Your army is the majority of the American people. Fight back or give up. Those are the two options. I see no good in appeasing the enemy in the Senate.

We cannot know if the others are confirmable if he doesn't try.

He could have put one or two of them up first, and then used Miers as a back-up plan.

It's not about Miss Miers; never has been. It's about what appears to be a big, fat middle finger to the base from Rove.

Bush DID just nominate who he wants! And although Rino's give us the majority that's much different than getting their votes.
There are actually two distinct terms here that are being confused: Republican and Conservative. There is a Republican majority in the Senate NOT a Conservative majority.

This guy Beldar rocks. He approves of the Miers nomination and the research he has done to affirm his opinion is, well, staggering.

It was indeed a spanking.

You are correct in your review of Brit's statement. However, I think his point was to Kristol that the Kristol didn't really 'know' all those people he was "approving" of. There were issues with one, perhaps there would be issues with more of them.

Bush people thot they really needed Pa to win. Sadly defeated Arlen people sitting on their hands would have decreased chances. Thank G-d 4 Ohio - but that was iffy 'cause of unemployment. You know we trust W to take us to war so why the skepticism on this? SIXTY is a big NUMBER!

Who runs for the Senate (with the exception of those who self-finance their own campaign): all have an "R" after their name and vote for the "R" majority leader which means they get to divvy up the spoils (the chairmanships of the fiefdoms.)

What is required of the peons (you and me): Besides after sending the RNC your hard earned money to make certain the RINOS have campaign funds, voting for the "R" candidate no matter how much he reeks, and getting all your friends and neighbors to do the same, the RNC has no further use for you, conservatives, or people with principles. You're way too hard to deal with and you're always wanting something in return.

I can only share what I know. I do so knowing full well that there will be those who dont believe me, or dont want to believe me. So what?

When I post something before knowing all the facts, I guess I deserve what's coming when I change my mind. Bring it on.

Theyv'e been going after laffey, who is more conservative than chaffee, like he's enemy #1.

Heaven forbid we get a more conservative senator from rhode island!

" What math seemed fuzzy to you?"

Let me make it crystal clear:

When an individual says "Welcome to FR" that means that they are a brand new poster.
To imply that someone is "new" by saying "welcome to FR" is what I call fuzzy math, AJC has been here for 3 years.

I'm no buying "the best we can get" excuse. I would place a large bet, this is nothing more than retrospective WH spin. They know they screwed up but they won't admit it.

They protect the RINOs and then we are supposed to blame ourselves. Well I volunteered for Toomey in 2004 so I'll blame those who supported Specter. I'm not blaming myself.

Ya, I read it, and then read the two most complex cases Beldar mentioned, and then posted about them. I have done my homework, and stand by my opinion. I am diappointed in the choice, give the prez wide descretion, and will not oppose her if she seem intellient and qualified, and has hit the books on the Consitution, and chats intelligently about it at her hearings, and will oppose her if she does not. I hope I am being clear about this.

We've spent the past 25 years fighting to get control of both the White House and the Congress at the same time so we could put in justices that wouldn't legislate from the bench, and now Bush acts like we are in the minority.

We are, in the Senate on the issue of abortion. The fact is, there are several nominally pro-life Senators who don't want Roe overturned. That's in addition to the out-and-out RINOs.
