That's true. 1995 was a big tropical year in the northern atlantic as well. SSTs were warm across much of the northern hemisphere. Just about the beginning of the multi decade cycle we are in now.

yes but that "thing" formed in JAN...i assume SST must of been only in thr 60's in the MED at that time..not nearly warm enough to get energy from latent heat water...for some reason i recall some researcher tryng to claim that hurricanes form in the artic too..and he was claiming they were warmer core systems or something..that 1995 MED hurricane and now vince may have researchers going back to the drawing board
