I realize the pool of even marginally conservative media personnel is small, to say the least. But certainly Chrissy could have found at least one to counter him and the other hard-core leftists on his show this week.

Is Chrissy finally coming out of the closet? Or, are leftists feeling so comfortable, considering the (real or propagandized) Bush Administration troubles, that they no longer feel obligated to present even a semblance of balance? What gives?

He's been out of the closet for years.

I am sure finding a conservative for Chris's show is not the easiest thing to do. Lets face it he won't ever let you make a point contrary to his and a conservative on the Chris Matthews show is not a long term career.

Oh yes. Imho, he has never even pretended.
Liberals really can't pretend.
Part of the liberal m.o. is their arrogance.
Liberals truly believe that if anyone doesn't march lockstep into "moveon.org"/DonaldSutherland-thinking, he is just too stupid to understand.

You are kidding, right.

Chris Matthews, like Tim Russert, occasionally say things to make moderates and Conservatives have some hope.

In fact, they are only more adept at the "slight of hand" than the most obvious of the many socialist shills.

Although no one has ever witnessed a fish farting in a stream, I for one believe they do. Unless of course they are taught to leave the stream and go hide in the privacy of the pond.

With all of the anger from the conservative pundits about the Miers nomination this week you'd think he'd have 2.

I'd like to see his ratings. I suspect most conservatives wouldn't sink to being on his show. His show is the tree falling that no one hears. So who goes on? His personal friends, the same group of losers who kneel at the alter of Don Imus for a chance to be a celebrity.

Maybe Chris should get that guy who does Dr. Phil on "Imus in the Morning". It couldn't be worse than Howard Fineman and Andrea Mitchell.

Matthews could use cardboard cutouts for his panel - he is the only one that ever gets to talk. I can't stand to be around someone that runs their mouth constantly.

He is at the bottom, ratings wise of all the cable news shows in his time period and also in the time period from 6-10 pm. Even Scarborough has passed this loser.

One of the reasons he won't have real conservatives on (and maybe not so real one's is because of what happened to him last week when Peter King, R-NY, cleaned his clock about the media coverage of Katrina.

Yeah, Zell took him to the woodshed last year, too. Chrissy's a homo. But I'm saying a sensible person, let alone a conservative, wouldn't waste any of life's precious time on an unwatched, unserious, unenriching liberal coffee klatch disguised as a news program.

Andrea Mitchell -- NBC News

Judy Woodruff -- CNN
Howard Fineman -- Newsweek

It's masturbatory journalism at it's worst. So many liberal posers in a circle.

I think you hit the nail on the head. King made Chrissy look small, indeed.

Put it this way. Keith Olbermann gets better ratings than Chris Matthews.

For a change of pace WABC has a damn good talk show on from 10:00 to 1:00 on Sundays. Andrew Wilkow is on and worth a listen.
