But hannity doesn't compete head on with Rush. Also, Rush's pinacle was in the mid to late 90's, still the Clinton era. Still plent of conservative folks on the air then too. It was the mecca of conseravtive talk radio.

If a show draws 10 listerners and the next show draws another 5 listerners, the true total of listeners is 15, even if the listeners of the latter show are carryovers from the first show. But, there is no exact way of determining if the audience for Hannity are the same as Rush's. There might be duplication of listeners but there will certainly be unique listeners to each program. The same would apply to the liberal audiences for liberal talk shows, even as miniscule as those audiences are.
