Hey, with Lithuanian and Swedish grandfathers, and with one Scottish grandma and the other hav9ing American lineage back to Boston circa 1680, I have zero problems with legal immigration.

My maternal grandparents were both Swedish immigrants. My mother tells me that Swedish was never spoken in her home.  She claims my grandparents always said, "We are in America, so we speak English!"

As a little kid I could talk pretty easily in English with my Swedish great-grandmother and great-grandfather (who came to America when my grandpa was an infact).

I never asked, but I'm sure they enforced the "This is America" rule on my grandfather, since he ended-up in an Ivy League college.
