The new way of politics here in California. It seems most people out here are a bunch of twits going in whatever direction the wind blows them.
Schwarzenegger Faces Recall Bid

SACRAMENTO, CA -- Californians chose Arnold Schwarzenegger as their new governor in the same election that recalled his predecessor. Now Schwarzenegger is finding himself the target of a recall.
A Berkeley physician, Dr. Kenneth Matsumura, served the governor's office with paperwork letting him know he has launced a petition drive seeking his recall. Matsumura said he was motivated to initiate the recall effort "on behalf of the poor and the students of California."
In a prepared statement, the 60-year-old Matsumura went on to explain that he is backing the recall because he is tired of "helping poor patients take one step forward and then watching the governor force them to take four steps back."
Matsumura said that the cost of a special recall election can be avoided by including the recall vote in the June 2006 primary election.
The recall drive will get underway next week, when Matsumura files a petition with the California Secretary of State's office. Once the petition is reviewed and approved, he will have 160 days to obtain the 1.04 million valid signatures needed to place the recall on the ballot.
Matsumura hopes to enlist 30,000 volunteers to gather signatures on the petitions.
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
I really need to leave this state but I really, really like the weather...damn.
I doubt the dems will support this in force.
They now have a liberal governor, with almost no Republican opposition. What's not to like?
:-\
I *think* I heard this mental midget on some radio talk show not too long ago...
If they want to waste their effort on this, all the better. It's just that much less for other causes.
I think Matsumura was interviewed recently on John and Ken. Was that the show you heard, BG?
Won't happen.
I disagree, I don't think he is a liberal at all.
This Kook was on the John and Ken Show (KFI 640 1500-1900Hr
in LA, M-F)and they took him apart. He has most of his "facts" wrong. He was stunned to hear that funding was increased for the Calif School Systems from year to the net.
Probably, yeah....
"Matsumura hopes to enlist 30,000 volunteers to gather signatures on the petitions."
--Well, if Matsumura gets 30,000 jackasses to volunteer, each will have to forge (i mean sign up) ~33.33333persons per volunteer to come close to 1 million sigs.
Knowing democrats they can do it long enough to get caught then blame bush. I say its people like janet reno etc. that are screwing california, not arnold completely.
Well, are you going to volunteer?
Crack is bad for you.
I have a feeling this is going to hurt the libs if they try this crap...
