Like I said, your showing your agenda; it's an easy question. The fact that you are too disengenuous to answer proves my point.

Was never banned. That's a ridiculous thing to say. I'm a troll because I don't like the Mier's pick? That all you got?

Game, set, match.

Too bad this isn't tennis. If I recall, it turned out that Justice Roberts also was not a member of the Federalist Society. Guess you'd like him impeached right away before he does any damage.

And I thought Nephi expressed himself/herself very well. Certainly captured EXACTLY what I am thinking too.

I don't want a defeat of conservative politicians, and that's what Bush is on his way in doing by his virtually complete abandonment of his base.

Your suggestion of "just leave the party" is what will guarantee a defeat, because I am not the only one angry with Bush.

There are a lot of conservative republican voters who are not happy with him.

He hasn't abandoned his base; his base is still waiting to see about this woman; the unappeasables are the ones who have abandoned the party.

And I said "just leave the party" because I'm sick of sitting here watching you all blackmail the GOP with your votes.

Quite simply put, you cannot be counted on.

Name calling it seems, is in the ear of the hearer. "Calling me insane, huh?" LOL!!! first time I ever heard of a Freeper finding their own tag line offensive. I am hardly qualified to diagnose your mental health, one way or the other, but even as a layman on the subject, it seems clear that your reaction doesn't signify robust mental health.

You are definately not alone in your assessments, but neither are nuts in the asylums who assess themselves to be Napoleon, alone. They usually outnumber the attendants.

Bring it on pitbull-my chihuahua Brandy will be gnawing your toes off and devouring them like they were good.

I never thought of you as a newbie, but since you bring it up, what was your previous user name and why was you banned?

The system Moderators want to know.

Oh, Questions? Isn't that what the hearings are supposed to be about?

Miers is nominated, it took place and can't be erased from history. The only thing that can happen now is that she gets destroyed by the Republicans before the hearings, by the Democrats during the hearings, or by uncovered information that comes out in the meantime. None of those is good for the Republican's future.
Whether she withdraws under pressure or fails in the hearings it is bad for the Republican party in the next elections and for Bush in all of his remaining picks this term. It won't take to much more of what is going on to insure that Dem's get to pick the nominees in '09 to '13.

Republicans have not been asking questions, they have been weeping and wailing while attacking Miers and Bush with sharp knives.

A strong Republican party would get the next 4 picks on the court. A weak Republican party will be lucky to get one more. If Bush is weakened by his own party, there is little chance of him getting another pick. The libs on the court will pull a Rhenquist thinking the next pres will be Dem. If Republicans remain strong, we could get another pick rather quickly because a justice with health issues would not see any benefit to hanging on.

The Twain quote is totally applicable because I haven't heard a single attack yet that indicates the attacker is looking beyond the end of their nose. Political strategy should involve 2, 5, 10 and 20 year strategies yet people can't even hold their water 4 weeks for the hearings to start. Very strategic...not!

Never banned. I don't find my tagline offensive. When I'm told that I'm starting to resemble my tagline, I take offense. You were clearing implying I was starting to act insane. Why, because I don't like the Mier's pick?

Right, you're not qualified to diagnosed anyone's mental health, but I can see that doesn't stop you from trying.

None of your business what my previous username was. I owe you no explanation.

Uh, I never "blackmailed" anyone.

You made the charge. Show me where I did, or apologize.

On the one hand, you're telling people who are angry about this to "leave the party" then you say only a "true fool wants defeat."

The solution is to get the people in power to act like conservatives, which they obviously haven't.

You say we are "unnapeasable." I agree there are people who have the attitude of "give me 100% of everything I want or else."

They were never supporters to begin with.

FOr the most part, people are are mad at Bush aren't that, because we've supported this guy for 5+ years.

And, don't say that I am "unnapeasable" b/c if Bush had of chosen a proven strict constructionist, a "known commodity" we wouldn't even be having this convo.

"We just don't know enough yet."

That pretty much says it, We can not be 100% sure about any nominee. Remember assume makes an ass out of U and Me.

You have no say in who the President nominates. To think otherwise is the height of arrogance.

You had no say in who Clinton nominated.

You had no say in who Bush 41 nominated.

You had no say in who Reagan nominated.

The President was elected (with or without your vote) and that earns HIM the right to nominate who HE wants.

He told voters that he would nominate someone in the mold of a Scalia or Thomas. The voters elected him. End of story.

I just love so-called conservatives that want to Bork one of their own based on no knowledge whatsoever.

We are the ideology of logic and reason --- not the emotional garbage spewed here.

Good one there wolfcreek.

Just curious: Did you name yourself after WolfCreek pass in southern Colorado that has killed more snowplow operators than all the deaths in all the wars this nation has ever fought?
