FRESNO, Calif. - The former mistress of convicted killer Scott Peterson is facing a lawsuit by an ex-boyfriend looking to get back nearly four years of child support payments.
Anthony Flores, 29, filed a lawsuit against Amber Frey, 27, on Wednesday after years of thinking he was the father of her first child. The lawsuit does not ask for a specific amount of money but says Flores was ordered to pay $567 per month in child support in September 2001.
Flores said Frey filed court documents in 2001 indicating he was the only possible father of her daughter, reported KFSN, a local ABC television station.
Flores, a Fresno hairstylist, found out that was not true last month after a paternity test.
"Given the Scott Peterson case, the timing of everything ... I have a lot of questions, and so does Anthony, as to why it's taken four years to come to this," said Warren Paboojian, Flores' attorney.
Frey could not be reached for comment. Her attorney, Gloria Allred, read from a statement on Friday saying Frey "will vigorously defend against any claims that Anthony makes and she expects to be fully vindicated."
Flores also said Frey defamed him in the book she wrote detailing her role in the Peterson case, and names her publishers in suit.
If you get hit up for child support, it's extremely stupid not to demand a blood test right from the start. This guy might not be able to wriggle off the hook. Judges have commonly said that, even if you aren't the father, if you've been making support payments for a number of years it may be in the child's best interest to keep you chained to the oars.
Strikes me that it would be nearly impossible to "defame" anyone connected in any way (at least, any intimate way) with any of these people.
Of course, not a single word about the child involved. As if he/she was just a posession and not a precious gift. Dispicable.
hey, she made that money for her book and tour....he should sue the hell out of that trash.
She should be ordered to pay him back every penny of child support he ever paid, and maybe more.
If she signed documents or made statements under oath, declaring that he was "the only possible father", she may have also committed fraud and perjury.
Hit the skank up for damages!
Amber Frey, the gift that keeps on giving.....to Gloria Alred.
that's what happens when a girl uses her hoop earrings for footrests
I saw an interesting program last night, it was titled I Am My Own Twin. Welfare prosceuters were filing charges against this woman because DNA showed that her children weren't hers. Turns out she was a Chemira and the DA dropped the case.
They covered some other Chemira cases...very, very strange.
An intelligence man would know that he was NOT the father. He wouldn't have known Amber either!
ROFLMAO
I doubt if he considers a child that isn't his and that he has been duped into paying child support for, a precious gift. He has no rights to this child now but may have to continue to pay until the child is 18. Do you condemn the man for thinking about himself and any future children he may have?
***Of course, not a single word about the child involved. As if he/she was just a posession and not a precious gift. Dispicable.***
Absolutely right! An innocent child will pay all his life for his parents' notoriety and their selfish sexual behavior.
I believe she should have to repay this guy also. Amber didn't exactly like being cheated so why should SHE be allowed to cheat someone else? I'm very disappointed in her.
Actually she is very beautiful in person. I have met her and she has striking blue eyes and is very soft spoken.
I agree with you, except for one point. I'm not disappointed in her, it's more like not surprised. She's increasingly gaining a public profile of 'the town slut', if I may put it in such honest terms. I hope he wins in suing her ass off...what's left of it.
