I'd much rather rely on the President's subjective knowledge of Miers conservative principles or philosophy than on a standard solely related to experience or knowledge.

Mier is White House Council. To describe her as the president's personal lawyer is misleading. It's what one sees on the some of the propaganda sites.
BTW, did you hear the president or read the transcript when he nominated Mier. He described what he though were Mier's qualifications. The description took about 10 paragraphs in his speech. I suggest you look at it.
To describe her only qualifications for being the president's nominee as being his personal lawyer and personal friend is misleading and not objective.

Bush has been a hard working president; a great one, given the enemies and disloyalty he's had to face. What "works" for me is that for the first time in over a decade we have a president who understands that we are at war. Unlike you, I'll continue to trust his judgment and won't lash out to cut him down.
