DENNIS: I told you. We're an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We
take it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the
week.
ARTHUR: Yes.
DENNIS: But all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified
at a special biweekly meeting.
ARTHUR: Yes, I see.
DENNIS: By a simple majority in the case of purely internal
affairs,--
ARTHUR: Be quiet!
DENNIS: --but by a two-thirds majority in the case of more--
ARTHUR: Be quiet! I order you to be quiet!
WOMAN: Order, eh -- who does he think he is?
ARTHUR: I am your king!
WOMAN: Well, I didn't vote for you.
ARTHUR: You don't vote for kings.
WOMAN: Well, 'ow did you become king then?

Interesting article.
Also it would seem that 5,000 years ago they were suffering from "global warming"...?
Must have been too many campfires..?

Maybe they were building a bridge to the 21st (BC) century?

Global warming is caused by too many fireplaces during ski season at Park City, UT. It's also caused by the sun. :)-

As I understand it, they didn't need a raft. It was a continuous land mass. (Until they caused global warming, that is.)

No, No, it is all the cellphones irradiating the atmosphere. Think about it, all these microwave towers everywhere.

I've got the Sierra forest outside my back yard. I know in my trekking back there I've seen sticks and stuff sticking in the ground. I'm going to look "to see how deep they were buried" and I might very well "work out they may be some 2,500 years old" as well. I'll let you know on Monday...

"That's pretty good pine to last 5000 years in a Bog." How about this: One hundred sixty nine, 8,000 year old people were found in a bog in Florida.
Ninety of them had completely intact brains.

ARTHUR: Shut up, will you? Shut up!
DENNIS: Ah, now we see the violence inherent in the system.
ARTHUR: Shut up!
DENNIS: Oh! Come and see the violence inherent in the system! Help! Help! I'm being repressed!
ARTHUR: Bloody peasant!
DENNIS: Oh, what a give-away. Did you hear that? Did you hear that, eh? That's what I'm on about. Did you see him repressing me? You saw it, didn't you?
