It's important to remember that there are some 'christian' churches that sermonize in favor of legalized abortion and a number of other things the bible teaches is wrong. One of these (not everyone of them, but many) is the Episcopalian church.

That being said, I'm familiar with the type of church Valley View is. I can say, with nearly 100% certainty, that she is pro-life. It's unlikely the pastor of that church would've allowed a pro-choice sunday school teacher.

I have been associated with the churches of Christ/independent Christian Churches for 35 years. I also was a vice-president of a large pro-life organization for many years, and actually worked on two major Bible translations to effect a pro-life view. I have also read everything I can uncover about Miers, including talking to an individual who has known her since she served on the city council. That said, I believe in the very depths of my soul this is a Proverbs 31 lady who will defend the sanctity of the unborn, and will read and interpret her Bible and the Constitution like an orginalist.
