How in hell did the pull that one off?.........

I'm sure that there's a future SEAL commander in that group who's going to have our enemies saying the same thing

Will you also get trained on the MD-10? Any word from the other crews how they like the MD-10? I used to work in the program office for the MD-10 at MDC and would love to hear how the planes are doing for FedEx....

No, Navy plays Army and Air Force every year. The overall winner gets the CIC Trophy. Air Force has had a lock on it for more than a decade until the last two years when Navy won it.

Yep, as it almost always is with a few exceptions.

There ain't too many officers straight out of the box that are worth a darn, but these mids definitely have potential.

Next year's my reunion: my senior year, a buddy and I dropped a fake paternity suit on another friend.

It took weeks to lay the trap...damn, it was funny. The next day, my buddy took it down to the ROTC department, stating that he needed legal advice, and wondered if he could get JAG help. Our senior advisor and the rest of the ROTC department also bit into the gag, including the cadet battalion commander.

We had a great group: senior class graduated about 25, one's still on active duty: MG Jason Kamiya, Army Operational Commander in Afghanistan. Yes, Jason was our Cadet CO.

Payback may be tough. After this prank, I think the goats and every statue and monument on the Academy grounds currently have their own dedicated Marine guardian.

That is priceless. Congrats to the kids (though they aren't kids much longer) involved.

I wonder what kind of a flyby we will get tomorrow. If the ceiling is anything like it is today, the answer to that may be "none."

"Will you also get trained on the MD-10?"

Yes. FedEx (and the FAA)considers the MD-11 and the MD-10 to be the same aircraft for type ratings. The MD-10 gets mixed reviews but mostly because its engines have less thrust. Otherwise, I think it is a wash. I took my checkride in the MD-10 and didn't really find it much different to fly, and some of the avionics are a little better than the MD-11.

Gee a Navy F-4, wasn't that nice of the space cadets.

When I was stationed in Germany, Hahn & Spangdahlem ABs had F-4 squadrons. As a Chaparral/Vulcan officer, we all had to know our aircraft recognition.

Every now and then during my visits to the 'O' Club, I'd sidle up to a Zoomie, and ask for his assistance: for some reason, there's only one aircraft that my soldiers seem to continually get wrong, and that's the F-4. Can you help me out?

About half the time, I received some very concerned looks.

Truthfully, there was no other plane in the European theater (the world?) that remotely resembled the F-4, with its upturned wingtips and triangulated tail.

Heh, that's just great. One of my older brothers graduated from the ZOO in 1969. What lovely surroundings for the place.

"Be sure to ask the Navy people about the brass goat statute[sic] - just to see if anything happened there," he said of the statute[sic] that stands inside Gate 1.

Hmmm... Perhaps somebody needs some more lessons on the English language.

The other nice thing, is that when you prang a FedEx heavy onto the runway you don't have to listen to the passengers and a bunch of gay flight attendants give you grief.

ROTFL!!

Are these mids Seniors at Annapolis? I have some friends whose oldest son graduated from the AF Academy, their only daughter graduated West Point and their youngest son is a Senior at Annapolis. Sounds like something he would do.
