Mids pull off daring prank in heart of wild blue yonder

A dozen midshipmen earned the grudging respect of the Air Force Academy by repainting a jet fighter on the Colorado academy's grounds blue and gold, and labeling it with "Navy" and "Blue Angels."

Something tells me that the Navy is going to find some significant item painted USAF blue.

Only if those items are found in air conditioned spaces or on the golf course... ;^)>

Well here's on old Zoomie (Class of '77) who's pretty impressed.......NOT to sound like a wet blanket here, but some of the aircraft on the terrazzo (that central area there in the pic) are OFF LIMITS for such things because they are true 'war memorials'. We couldn't touch 'em.

The F-4 happens to be one of them..........

The rules of pranking as put out in the article say that the prank cannot do permanent damage. The middies used a paint that is easily washed off with no lasting effects.

Once upon a time, I learned that you should not wear the same running shoes on a spirit mission and then to morning formation. ;)

A small spot of paint can get you into loads of trouble!
