I personally cannot support the Miers nomination. While I am pro-life, this is bigger than any one issue. In my mind, it doesn't matter how justices feel on this issue or that, rather, how do the interpret the constitution? And also their qualifications.

She was Bush's lawyer. I'd feel like vomiting if Clinton nominated Sidney Blumenthal for SCOTUS. This is the same situation, different party. Though now I don't feel nauseous, rather, just dejected. I can't have different standards on both sides of that coin.

Blumenthal was demonstrably partisan journalist. Don't think that would have happened.
