Dear Moog

Your snide "an intern or an aide" shows you are totally unfamiliar with the university community. Cute tail is a dime a dozen on campus, especially to those who are stars in the lecture circuit firmament.

One thing Newt does not need to have handed to him as part of "da deal" is an intern. Besides, one could get Aids from an aide (or an intern).

Having said that, I disagree with the Miers appointment and would have chosen Janice Rogers Brown had the call been mine.

The statement was in jest. I would have said the same about Slick Willy. Some of these (not most) statements smack of Bill Clinton. Just because there is a lot of cute tail does not make it right. I know exactly what circumstances you are talking about because I was in them in college and have dealt with them for some 19 years. I just didn't choose to follow the temptation. I'm not casting stones because I have a lot to work on, but we shouldn't make excueses for what really happened.

As for Miers, I don't know enough to make a statement. You may be right.
