Deukmejian... hmmmm. That's the guy who supported Prop 111 giving us new gas taxes, while the fine print also obliterated the Gann spending limit. Yes, I do see the similarities.

Courage maybe, but not much good for California. $15 Billion of Prop 57/58 borrowing enabled even higher spending than Davis could have dreamed of and put us in more debt for decades to come. Oh, and he backed Prop 71, the $3 Billion Stem-Cell research scam. More borrowing, more debt, with no accountability or return for the state. Supporting his initiatives can be expensive and deadly. Prop 76 authorizes more bonds. Proposition 78, socialized medicine light, is also a sham.
I will probably support Proposition 73, 74, and 75. The others are highly questionable, IMO.
It ought to be pretty clear by now to even the most ardent Arnie-bot that he will borrow and/or raise taxes before he will cut anything. Anyone still stupid enough to support him needs to understand this.
Then we found commercial whitewater rafting corporations on the South Fork of the American River getting "Environmental Mitigation" grants from Cal-Trans being laundered through "Not For Profit" corporations called the American River CONservancy to install rafting "put-in" facilities in the river bottom to be washed out by floods each year, because a new replacement bridge was installed on State Route 193 just north of Placerville, CA in 1997 near the site!!!
Now do you understand why the rafting industry always invites Republican Governors to a free rafting trip after the rigors of winning election??? The Dorkie Duke din't tell us the truth, either!!!
