I'm in Vegas now, and if something is going on, the public doesn't know right now.

I was in Baton Rouge when the screaming-ALL-CAPS reports of Katrina-evacuee riots and armed gunmen looting downtown ran rampant across this and other forums.

Amazing to read accounts from so-and-so's brother-in-law describing Baton Rouge's courthouse burning down while I could see it outside of my window, just blocks away and perfectly fine.

Needless to say, the rioting evacuees and armed gunmen were not true, either.
