Washington used Hamilton, Jefferson and Lafayette on a Court Martial Board to lay to on General Lee, Aaron Burr's superior officer.
Aaron never forgot!

You are acting as though the friendship with someone should DISQUALIFY them. That is not at all what Hamilton meant. You would be well servied by reading the sheer brilliance of Federalist Paper 76. I assure you, it is NOT dull reading today.
