You Patsies never quit, do you?
And you wonder why you're not welcome at the table with the grownups.

How about this tin foil theory:
This is all a "Right-wing conspiracy" , a ruse as you may say, to get a conservative on the court with out a fight. Rove directs certain conservatives to come out against the nominee so that Dems don't attack and think we are eating our own. She gets a pretty easy committee pass and then when the up and down vote comes on the floor, the "faking" opposition decides to "Change its mind" and vote for her. And as for Reid "recommending" her, He is such an idiot that he did know her conservative ideas at the time.
Just a theory.

I agree with Pat Buchanan. And Bill Kristol. And George Will. And Ann Coulter. And Laura Ingraham. And David Frum. And Mark Levin. And Charles Krauthammer.
It seems the "patsies" aren't those who OPPOSE the Miers nomination, but those who say "let's rally around the flag even though its the unprincipled thing to do."
Harriet Miers lacks the qualifications, intellect, experience, and gravity to be a Supreme Court Justice. But because she is Bush's friend who is a Born-Again-Christian with a good heart that is supposed to make her a good choice.
That might make her a great human being, but as Ann Coulter says, 'Harriet Miers isn't qualified to play a Supreme Court nominee on the West Wing let alone in real life.' (That's a paraphrase from memory)
I hope the Republican uprising from the grassroots continues and the Miers nomination is pulled.
