The thing is that if we are talking about 19 bombs here. The 19 terrorists don't even have to get into the subway. If the random searches cause any kind of a back up at the entrance to the subway then they could just shoulder through to the middle of the crowd and detonate. There's a reason that so many bombs go off at "check points" in Iraq.

And if just 2 or 3 of the 19 terrorists are successful, they will have done what they set out to do. That is "terrorize".

Now, if they really wanted to cause a stir, they should just go to that window outside The Today Show studio and when the camera lights come on, hold up a "Allah Akbar" sign and push the button. Katie might just feel compelled to report on it.
