OK, did this threat really occur in Iraq? And the fear is that TODAY these operatives are in place? Also, right now there is no Jewish holiday going on. Also, during a Jewish holiday, religious Jews will not be using the subways.

I understand informing the people for CYA just in case, but I don't understand the actual threat at this time.

Also, this weekend thousands of Americans will be attending college football games. 90% of them have no idea that fellow fans in OK were nearly blown up. Why didn't the powers that be want to warn the public there?

Actually, check me out, I believe that the Muslim holy season of Ramadan began on 4 Oct and coincides with the beginning of Rosh Hashona (sp?), the Jewish New Years. Double threat, and yes, there were threats from terrorists groups promising action during this time frame.
