Democrats blast Bush speech on Iraq
AP ^ | October 6 2005

CAPITOL HILL Senate Democrats say the president's latest comments on Iraq were sorely lacking.

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid says the president failed to detail a strategy for the military, political and economic successes needed to bring U-S troops home.

Reid also says the president continues to "falsely assert" that there is a link between the war in Iraq and the September eleventh attacks.

Richard Durbin of Illinois says the president failed to answer the question most Americans are asking: When will there be enough Iraqi battalions ready to fight so U-S troops can begin coming home?

"Democrats blast Bush speech" is not news. It's like announcing that the sun set again last night.

They will be mocked and scorned throught history as the traitiors and enemy comforters that they are.

Durbin upset because Bush can't predict the future.

The Demrats don't mind talking 'stupid' - knowing perhaps their constituency does not recognize otherwise; but it does allow them to write their criticisms/rebuttal before Bush speaks. . .

Perhaps they want President Bush to do a 'Geraldo'. . .draw lines on the WH lawn. . .

Just wonder what part of 'protracted war' they do not understand.

Heck, I can answer that. The Iraqi troops will be ready August 4, 2006. Unless there is a delay.

Shouldn't this story be relegated to page B12 or something?

AJ Durbin wouldn't know a plan if he tripped over it.
He's the type who would spill the beans if his mothers life depended on it remaining secret. He is nothing more than a Taliban-Al Quida operative. His recent tearful apology showed more about the man, than the politician. Pitiful!!

Whatever. The important thing is what happens in the referendum on the Iraqi Constitution. If Our Federal Constitution had had a similar ratification process, it would never have been approved.

One of the Democrat's most pressing problems, and, I think, a major reason for their decline, is that it is hard for voters to avoid the conclusion that Democrats care nothing about America or the average American. In fact, they seem to hate America.

Democrats' only interest seems to be in regaining power whatever it takes. I would not be at all surprised if the Democrats mounted a military coup on the White House.

In recent decades the once great Democrat party has hemorrhaged voters, lost election after election on all state and national political levels, and can get money only from special interest groups, fat-cat socialist billionaires and foreign donors.

Am I wrong? Anyone?

"Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid says the president failed to detail a strategy for the military..."

Seems Harry wants the U.S. to tell our enemies what we plan on doing.

Harry Reid is a real sick jerk. If he had listened he would have heard a strategy. It just he is hard of hearing and the connection from his ear to brain is fogged with pasture patties.

These people suffer from a self-induced, egocentric and fixed myopia and 'assinine' is where they begin and end. . .
