If Rove's lawyer let me testify knowing he was a target, then Rove needs to find a new lawyer. That would be a very stupid move.


You don't have to testify to any Grand Jury even if you are not officially a target. That's why we have a 5th amendment in the Constitution.

The only thing is that your compelled testimony could not be used against you. The 5th amendment DOES NOT APPLY in the grand jury.

O'Donnell predicted that a couple of people would be indicted in this case.
I can't stand O'Donnell, but he was the first person to identify Rove as a source for Cooper, from Time magazine.

I've never heard of a government employee taking the 5th Amendment to a grand jury and then keeping their job. I don't think any of Clinton's people tried that (well sounds like something Blumenthal would do, but I don't recall him doing it). So Rove really has to testify or he'd be pressured to resign.
