That would probably be what Steyn meant when he said, "True, that’s little more than a hunch on my part...We’ll see."

Mark has placed himself on the fence, but leaning toward approval and giving the benefit of the doubt. I think that's a good place for him to be.

I agree. I also think (hope?) that in the future, other conservative columnists might wish they had waited a day or two and found out something about the nominee, as Steyn has done, before they fire up the pc and shoot off their mouths.

I also love how refreshingly honest he is--saying he's not an expert in the law or certain judges, stating it's a hunch but giving reasons why he feels that way.

Steyn is without equal in this business.
