(I'm on FReep so often that when I read an article at another site I scroll down for the comments.)
Today, at least, major speech is the White House's way of saying "please, MSM, give us face time" when it really means long, circular speaking full of generalities.
There's a chance I missed something when the coverage broke away but I'm doubtful. No station: KOGO, KFI, KFMB stayed with the speech. The press is probably feeling 'had' over this one.
