Another VERY good analysis Meg. Just as we ask for diversity of thought everywhere else, makes sense that there is a little diversity in thought (AND EXPERIENCE) in our highest court.

It's an FR thread but I wanted to keep the link and lose some of the commentary on the thread. ;)
The thread also includes your excellent link.

If Bush is so smart, how could he fail to see that he would cause such a huge revolt in the party by failing to nominate the most qualified conservative with a clear record as a constitutional originalist?
If Bush is so politically astute, what was he thinking when he nominated Harriet Miers?

Yummm ... these "biscuits" sound delicious. I don't think they are a type of bread. :)

Let's not bring that here. There are plenty of other threads on FR to "fight the fight". But...thanks for stopping in.

Absolulely no problem. "The Finest" (there's a link on the home page) is kind of a daily nice little place for people to "get away" from the "rancor" and contencious threads. (where many of the finest "regulars" also spend time) We "regulars" here are not all lockstep with each other...but just occasionally want a breather.
That being said....If you click on the "Hall of Fame" link the bottom at the thread...JohnHuang2 is usually featured every Thursday here. He writes some GOOD stuff if you ever want to take some trips down memory lane!
Anyway, you are always welcome here :o)

Thanks, Your Royal Highness..:))
I can identify with you and Aqua and Dolly working on JH's essays, hunched over the keyboard searching for just the right illustrations, laughing and snorting, with tears in your eyes!!
Utilizing my Romper Room Magic Mirror,
Miss Maggie saw dutchess last night doing the essay!!
And here are Aqua and Dolly
as they slaved in past weeks!!

Anyway, you are always welcome here :o) and if you behave! (and if you like Star Wars)
:-)
All , just got back from flag waving along the route & welcoming the first wave of marines home from 325..Debated with myself a bit if I should go or mow..
going to try to mow for a bit until dark.
While I was gone a HUGE corkscrew willow came down in back yard. & wouldn't you know it of course it fell where I already mowed! Fortunately it did not land on house. I was OLD & large..(like me?) later
