After initially putting the first chapter of fired CBS producer Mary Mapes's book, Truth and Duty, on its web site, Amazon.com has apparently pulled the plug on the enterprise. Visitors to the online book retailer can no longer read the excerpt as it no longer shows up in listings for the print or audio versions of the book.
Was the excerpt yanked because of the several objectively incorrect assertions it contained, and the subsequent blog firestorm their exposition caused? Only Amazon or Mapes's publisher, St. Martin’s Press knows for sure.

If you can show that the memo had to have been a forgery because of the typeface, none of that other stuff matters at all. Had this been a trial, the judge would have thrown the case out of court no matter what the other evidence and then gone out loaded for bear looking for who submitted perjurious evidence in his courtroom.
Do you have enough to sue whinny Mary and her publisher for perpetrating a lie against you?
They are not in the style that we used when I came in to the USAF. They looked like the style and format we started using about 12 years ago (1992). Our signature blocks were left justified, now they are rigth of center...like the ones they just showed.
Can we get a copy of those memos?

LOL....again. I agree....the most common threads on DU are FU this, FU that, or more commonly F Bush. Shows the infantile vocabulary of the followers of the "Democratic Al Quaida."
OK, now she's going to say that PJ-Comix blew her out of the water before she was even published! LOL
Man, you couldn't write stuff like this -- who would believe it! ;)
In her next book, Grounded Before Flying she will relate how she was maligned, misquoted, and taken out of context (although PJ posted the entire contents) by "the evil right wing blogs" in an attempt to quash the selling of her tome before it was even published.
