Disgusting freaks. It's time to start putting these individuals away for good!

Another reason I stay home with my kids. The babysitter was being paid to watch the toddler, not surf the net. You never know what piece of human refuse is lurking near your children...

Effler was convicted in 2003 for a sex crime against a 31-year-old woman in El Paso, Texas. He was sentenced to three years in prison and later paroled.

Any sensible prison population would have shivved this bastard while he was inside.

Records show that in recent months, Effler was jailed for public urination, arrested for drunken driving and charged with shoplifting.

How many crimes does he have to commit before they lock him up and throw away the key? I mean what has this guy got to do, kill somebody?

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that these perverts are becoming more brazen?

I've seen people get longer sentences for smoking pot. Here's a convicted rapist who's back on the street in just three years (or less).

Where is the outrage over the fact that our justice system allows these monsters back into society so they can ruin even more lives? Maybe someday we'll learn that sex offenders cannot be rehabilitated and we'll sentence them accordingly. Recidivism is 100% assured. They should never be released.

If I am not mistaken; it seems there have been more of these freaks in the states with less harsh punishments.

Just a casual observation.
Might be wrong. I am far from "nuanced."

I'm often criticized for being "less than sensitive."

Hang him! Who's squeamish about this? It's just plain nuts to keep these perverts around.

The only piece of "good" news: the perp was charged with first-degree kidnaping, which carries an automatic life sentence in a state where "life" means life (no parole). Not as good as frying him to a crisp, but he won't do this again.

In good old days the sexual offenders used to be set in a tree stump: a decent size (1.5-2 feet in diameter) tree stump of sound wood would be cleft in two from its top with a wedge. The sexual offender would be forced to sit on the stump with his appendages in the slot - and then the wedge was pulled out on him, with the pervert being left to rot in the stump in full public view, amidst general rejoicing. Just think of what a soft drink [or chair rental] concession would bring!

When library workers heard the girl scream in the restroom, they saw an adult's shadow on the other side of the door's frosted glass, police said. When they couldn't force their way into the restroom, they called for a maintenance worker with a screwdriver, Willis said. Once the door handled was removed, they opened the door, pulled the child out and shut Effler inside.

Glad they were able to get to the perp, eventually, but frankly, if they heard a little girl scream in the bathroom and saw an adult's shadow through the door's frosted glass, why they heck did they wait for a maintenance worker to come and remove the doorknob? I would have smashed the glass immediately. I just pray that the time they wasted in trying to save the door didn't affect the little girl. (shudder)
