Just a bit, maybe. Got cold down here, it's 64. Last night at this time it was still 102, so that could be part of it.

I don't even want to think about the end of the season already!

As you know, we don't really have a fall and hopefully we will be back to decent weather, say 90s, by next week. This is entirely too cold for my blood and am already thinking about going further south. ;)

FYI

Legendary rancher and Kenedy County Commissioner Tobin Armstrong, 82, has died of cancer. Armstrong and his wife, Anne Armstrong, the former ambassador to Great Britain, own the 50,000-acre Armstrong Ranch in Kenedy County, where they have hosted world and national leaders. Vice President Dick Cheney, former President George H. W. Bush and former Secretary of State James A. Baker III expressed condolences this afternoon. "Texas and the nation have lost a lion, a quintessential rancher who was also a dedicated public servant," Baker said in a prepared statement. "Tobin Armstrong was the descendant of one of Texas’ most outstanding pioneer families — a true son of the Lone Star State. He will be missed by his many friends from all walks of life in our state and in our nation."

OH I LOVE the cold weather. I get to wear all my coats finally for at least a few days. I even was able to replace my winter boots that got lost and actually got to wear them. And, Jr on Trackside, life is grand!! :)

Rusty needs to come down here if he's still looking for creases in jeans. Some in the rodeo circuit use so much starch, their jeans resemble Kevlar.

Ya, fall hit this area like a hammer too!

You want hammer; it was 75 degrees when I fell asleep late Wednesday night. Thursday morning, it was 50 degrees, and no warmer since. They're talking frost not too far west and a freeze close to the Mississippi River tonight.

Speaking of which, I wonder if I should tell LastCall to take Robot (knowing his bad history on this track) or not (fearing that he'll bust that history and dominate like he did Chicago and practice today).

I really hate to see them go TB. Direct descendants of those that built this state/country, a different breed. We really need their kind and there a damn few left.
