BTW, I have no problem at all recognizing and respecting the history of Spain ~ it's not like it was dirty or something ~ the epitome of world civilization in the 800s through the 1200s was in Spain!

My sensitivity comes from past experience where "hispanics are just muslims" type language is in the same paragraphs on stormfront, etc., where we are all grouped together as "the muds".
Add to this that I have some Mexican Indian and a little German in my heritage, and I can't accept that "we are the same people".
