You are in a dream world if you think that the 'authorities' can still have any control over the MSM, local or national.

Trust me, yes they do. If it involves national security. Any thing else they may print is allowed and meaningless as intel. Scandals, sure, why not no problem but security, they will spike it if asked.

Right. Let's put it this way: If the FBI asked the MSM to shut up about a story that President Bush had authorized the DOD to sell surplus weapons to Hugo Chavez's opponents because they were still investigating, do you think the MSM would comply? ;)

"You are in a dream world if you think that the 'authorities' can still have any control over the MSM, local or national."

What is your explanation for the UNANIMOUS non-coverage of this event by ANY major media organ? Note that this includes editorial staffs very favorably disposed towards the GOP and or Bush, including Fox News, the washington times, WSJ, etc.

the only media outlet discussing this is the local media co that apparently takes the event personally enough to investigate and report on.

You do know that if this kid had simply walked onto the field and shot himself during halftime it would have been on all the news channels?
