Another national cover-up??

Cover-up? Why does everything have to be some massive government conspiracy?

Maybe it's somewhat simpler than that. Maybe in the middle of the investigation they don't want to spew too much info that will foul ongoing leads, whatever they are. If I were the investigator I sure wouldn't want my daily status report published in the paper either.

The afternoon host on our radio talk show talked about it at length and will do so again tomorrow. The FBI doesn't generally investigate college student suicides. The media will be buzzing soon.

I pick up three newspapers per day. Not that I read them cover to cover, but I do read all of the headlines. Not a WORD in any of them all week about this incident. (and I do read the sports pages first). Only mention to date is on Free Republic.

Seriously, now kids. There's no coverup. If these rumors had any truth to them at all, wouldn't our friends and neighbors be watching them in reports on TV news? After all, I read in the OK papers that he had bought Aluminum Nitrate, which is a harmless chemical used in deodorants.

My, my. Isn't this why we send the children to college? So they can meet and enjoy people from cultures other than our own? You members of the VRWC make it sound as if this depressed young fellow was a member of some weird death cult. After all, aren't we free to seek the same God in many different ways in this great country of ours, which admits people of many different creeds, even those who claim they can get to Paradise by blowing up themselves and a football stadium full of their classmates and friends? One religion is quite as good as another, you know. I have personally known many Norwegian Lutherans, who after a long dark winter, have been known to use very shocking and offensive language which creates an environment hostile to women and minority groups. This is terror, too, you know.

Move on here. There's nothing interesting to see. Trust your TV set and the President of OU.
