"Hinrichs joined the Triangle engineering fraternity at OU but soon thereafter dropped out for a year, then took up residence in the university owned apartment complex known as "Little Tehran" in Norman rather than returning to the Triangle house."

Very interesting..

Thanx for the ping!

Since 9-11, I have had fewer inclinations to read political and terror thrillers. This evolving story underscores the reason: we are all living in one and thanks to the Internet, we know it.

Boren may be a good guy conservative donk, but the political connections and background of this case are creeping me out. What the he!! sort of op is he running out there on the prairie?

Thanks for the ping. Fascinating site with incredible details. Wonder where Tapscott gets his info. He seems to be a very well informed insider.

Tapscott's Copy Desk has also learned that a tree near where Hinrichs' bomb detonated displays a number of small round holes and some areas of a metallic substance. The holes and substance are only on the side facing the bench on which Hinrichs was seated when the bomb detonated. The holes appear to be about the size of the head of 16 penny nail.

Check me if I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem right that you'd put nails or bits of metal into a bomb if all you wanted to do was blow yourself up.

Frankly, I'm suprised that this tree is still standing out there and hasn't been accidentally cut down and hauled away.
