As I know Ajarians are Georgians.

It was an Ajarian who threw a hand grenade at President Bush.

Are you sure, I thought that an Armenian.

A number of Georgian media circulated reports yesterday that Vladimir Arutyunian, who was arrested on charges of the attempted assassination of the two presidents, was a member of the Revival Party, whose leader for 13 years was former president of Ajaria Aslan Abashidze. Journalists and investigators obtained this information from neighbors of the accused. The investigators are verifying these reports, including information that Arutyunian was involved in the events in Ajaria last year, when armed Abashidze supporters confronted the central authorities on the administrative boundary between Georgia and Ajaria.

The Ajarian “footprint” in the assassination attempt could fairly quickly develop into a Russian footprint, given Abashidze's close relations with Moscow. - LINK
