Answer:
Robert Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, Jack Carter

The question is:
Name three carpetbaggers that shoped states to become United States Senators.

What a stunning display of arrogance. He doesn't like the way the gov't dealt with Katrina, so he'll just pop in and run for Senate as his first elected office. Gosh Jack, why not just start out running for President? Let those other bozos learn the ropes by serving in local and state elective offices before seeking National office. Can't make the son of Jimmy Carter do that, noooooo. Too important for that. Can't waste all that time when you can be "fixing things" in Washington.

I don't suppose we'll hear any concerns among the MSM about his lack of experience or qualifications . . . I won't hold me breath on that.

"Yes, I talked to him about it," Carter said of the Senate bid. "He thinks I'd be good at it."

Applying the First Law Of Carter to this statement, we can safely infer that the younger Carter would be a disaster.

Did you see the movie from last year, Miracle about the 1980 Olympic hockey team? I can remember Carter's famous speech played in that movie talking about the national malaise.

He was right in that people were feeling pessimistic about our future prospects. Guess that's why Reagan won.

Thank God

"I can remember Carter's famous speech played in that movie talking about the national malaise. "

Yeah, I remember that speech, but not from the movie. I graduated from college during the Carter Administration. It was pretty rough sailing with stagflation, mailaise, gas lines, high unemployment. ( Even the fashions were ugly, and disco . . . ? Yuck.) My first house had a "bargain" FHA mortgage rate of 12%. Given the lousy economy, I did the sensible thing and went back to school for two more years - wasn't earning much anyway.

Carter was an abysmal President and is a sanctimonious gasbag ex-President; I don't relish the idea of a repeat performance by the next generation of Carters.

I had not planned to run for office. I have no infrastructure and this is new to me.

Right. . .more to the truth, this is surely a polygraph alert. . .

That said. . .'why', really, did Chip choose Las Vegas to carry on his business. . .or Bernuda for that matter. . .
