"THE producer at the center of last year's "Memogate" scandal at CBS News says she was derailed by a vast right-wing conspiracy."
She was derailed when the TRUTH came out; not some right-wing conspiracy. Are liberals really this stupid?

October 5, 2005 -- THE producer at the center of last year's "Memogate" scandal at CBS News says she was derailed made aware of the facts by a vast right-wing conspiracy.
The producer stupid liberal, Mary Mapes, is one of four CBS staffers fired last January in the wake of the scandal.
She is convinced she was the victim of a group of loosely associated Internet bloggers "with a harsh political bent"got her head out of the clouds, and realized with crystal clear vision, how fast and sharp the right was! who pounced on They debunked the CBS News minutes after the airing of the now-infamous Texas Air National Guard story on "60 Minutes 2" in September 2004...
"Within a few minutes, I was online visiting Websites I had never heard of before: Free Republic, Little Green Footballs, Power Line," writes Mapes...She couldn't believe how good they were!
"They were hard-core, politically angry, hyperconservative sites loaded with vitriol esoteric knowledge about Dan RBlather and when they see BS, they call it like they see it!."
Welcome to reality Mary Mapes...the viking Kitties would have you in seconds... The admin mods, armed with a new load of ZOT just for you, would leave you in a pile of dust and burnt ozone!
There, now that's better...

"It dawned on me that I was present at the birth of a political jihad."Mary, sweetheart, you missed the birth by at least 10 years. In fact it began back in the '80's with Rush Limbaugh but the pajamahadeen have been around a lot longer then memogate. Sorry you're just getting the news. What's the matter? Don't tell me you are trying to stay current by listening to the MSM?
Oh Mary, that's so...quaint

"Getting Barnes to say yes had taken five years and I thought his interview was a home run."This one sentence of Mary's speaks volume about the state of American journalism. It "had taken five years", but as she elsewhere emphatically states, it was "news" and it had to be rushed on the air. Would it be news if it took them another 5 years? 10 years? Why not? (Stupid questions, don't answer.)
