I'm Not impressed.
In the real world competence is based on what gets done, not how they feel.
It does not appear to me that you've had enough exposure to teachers to make a considered judgment about them.
In biology, at least, professors tend to get promoted to that position by publishing well recognized research papers in peer reviewed journals.
IOW "them as can, teach (often as little as they can get away with)
Don't know how it works in the fuzzy studies.

That statement is a little too broad, I'd say. I've had some excellent teachers in my lifetime, ranging from one amazing guy who made an entire class actually understand differential equations...not an easy job...to an English teacher who got through to me on the importance of expressing onesself clearly.
For you to class all teachers as stupid is the height of arrogance, in my opinion.
