Meanwhile, to the Tulsa news channels, he was just a troubled college student. At least that was the gist of the reporting on KTUL TV 8 last night.

There are two possibilities:

1) The FBI knew about the danger that mosque and this animal posed

2) They didn't

If #1, then they were letting these things happen, or potentially happen, so they could gain more intel. If #2, then some FBIers need to be fired.

In fact, if #1, and if this animal had killed some people, then some FBIers would have needed to be fired. Seriously, when you take chances with public safety in order to gain intel, you should pay for wrong decisions.

But that's just my knee-jerk opinion, based on very few facts.

It is possible that he was working alone, in which case it would have been very difficult if not impossible to find out what he was doing and stop him. Another "copycat" idiot similar to the kid who flew a Cessna into a building (in Florida, I believe) shortly after 911.

But didn't the FBI already have inside intelligence about the OKC bombing plans before the building was blown up?

Poor national security can equal national disaster.
