OWINGS MILLS, Md. - A college student led officers Tuesday to the body of her dead newborn girl at the bottom of a storm drain, hours after a roommate reported finding blood in their dorm bathroom and the woman missing, police said.

...

The 20-year-old student was later found at her parents' home in Clinton in Prince George's County at about 8:30 a.m. The woman led police to a storm drain about 50 feet from the house, Warehime said.

The disrespect this woman had for her newborn is stunning. Hatred would not be too strong a description. Apparently it is not known yet whether the child was born alive, but to disgard her own child in a storm drain...

I cannot contemplate such dispassion. I dare say, given the hometown of the woman that she is a truly modern liberal college woman.

She waited until after the child was born to disgard it rather than before. Just a matter of timing in the liberal world.

And still there are those who insist that abortion remain legal because such matters are "private".

There should be no criminal charges persued against her if this is the case. What? Practicing medicine without a license? Like natural childbirth, this was a natural terminated pregnancy (mother's choice).

The rights of the child trump the rights of the selfish mother. Only when the mother throws her baby away does the left agree.

This is beyond tragic; this is something this woman/girl will live with for the rest of her life. What type of message is this person getting from society to make this possible, or is she so whacked out on hormones that she can’t think, or is she evil?

My daughter and I, while taking a walk one day, happened to come between a mother duck and her brood of ducklings. What ensued was comical to us, but quite serious to the duck. She came right up into our vicinity, flapping her wings and making a huge racket, to distract us from the area of her little ones. Most mothers, even dumb animal mothers, will risk their own lives for the sake of their offspring. I wonder what's happened to the human race?

Horrible story

Prayers for the baby, safe now in Gods arms.

As for the parent, I suspect her reward will be a lot warmer.

I have to agree with that thought. The far left has managed well its mission of eradicating mothering instincts from women and protection instincts from men. They have turned the modern male into a clinton clone sex-obsessed shark and the modern woman into an obliging harlot.

Modern humanity, courtesy of the far left media arm - the entertainment industry and their indoctrination corps - the education industry.

No prayers to the contrary?

Just looking at my little newborn right now. Her two little eyes are wide open and she's looking all around. She can't do much, but she's full of life. Makes me really sad for this little baby. Makes me really mad at the thing that carried her and discarded her. There was no need for that even if the baby was stillborn and I have a feeling it was not. That baby could be alive and warm right now with some couple that would have loved it. No need at all for what that person did.

Disgusting.

And, yeah, like you said, even if it were stillborn, that is not the respectful way to handle a corpse, let alone your own flesh and blood.

Stories like this bring me to tears.

I can't imagine someone doing that to a baby, let alone their own baby. The only difference between this and abortion is time.

May God have mercy on her soul and may the idiot libs who support this someday see the light.

No prayers from me - unless she was mentally deficient, and the article did not indicate that to be the case, she made an informed or adult decision - and so will answer for the act.

Depending on your belief system (Muslim, Buddha worship, etc), hell -per se- is not a permanent condition. Once you do your time (restore your karma, etc) then you can achieve a greater glory. As for me, that is the next big journey, we'll have to see how it turns out. I do believe that infants, esp in a case like this, go straight to Heavenly Fathers side. But, that's just me. YMMV

I went to mapquest and inserted the Owings Mills, MD start and Clinton, MD end point. She delivered in her dorm and some 62 miles later she disgarded the child. I too believe that the child was not stillborn. You're right, it is so infuriating that there are those enlightened ones who cannot or will not appreciate the gift that is a child.

They cannot see beyond their own selfish desires. I'm sure we will hear from her contemporaries that "we can't know her circumstances - we cannot judge her." God bless your new baby (and you too mom) and give her an extra hug for that poor little newborn.

They've been sold a bill of goods that unborn/newborn humans are worthless. :*( This just breaks my heart when I think of all the couples out there who have waited ~years~ to adopt a child. :*(
