My fear is supported by the above..she is a leftist sleeper who saw that the road to power in Texas was to appear as a Conservative and Christian (both late in life changes) much of her that has come out shows a very disturbing trend: no problem running a state lottery for not a short term but FIVE YEARS (a system of picking the pockets of the poor to finance the Gov spending)
She supports the WORLD COURT, homosexual adoption right, she approved moving women into combat units..such actions do not support the idea she is a CONSERVATIVE..there is much for conservatives to worry about this appointment.

Possible... but not likely. Her work ethic is commendable and I don't see why she couldn't work hard on the Court to make herself respected. Its not her diplomas or legal brilliance that counts but her values and common sense. So many people mistake mere erudition for brilliance. They're the ones stuck on stupid. I don't care for the Ivy League types and President Bush is told repeatedly by the egghead know it alls, he's the dumbest person on the planet. So if the Left and Right savages Miers because she doesn't look pretty, wear flashy clothes, or wasn't Eastern Elite educated, then President Bush is already miles ahead of them both. He can take the criticism because as he figures it, neither the Democrats nor the Republicans understands the league of politics in which he plays.
