I don't know. Why don't you go check for yourself?

Good catch! In fact, they shave off all their body hair. That is one of the things that is supposedly the sign of a Muslim setting off for a terrorist attack.
It would be interesting to know if this guy had shaved off more than his beard. Although it doesn't sound as if there was enough of him left to tell.

It's becoming more and more evident that this kid was not that tragic 'individual suicide' that the University President is so anxious to proclaim. Maybe they don't want any copycats. The next guy may not be so unlucky.

Actually I was wondering if that was what he was trying to buy when he mentioned the ongoing saga trying to buy "ammo" on EBay in the fraternity meeting, recorded in their minutes. Is that paranoid? Was "ammo" code for AN. He also mentioned some guy have got his address in a concerned way. Just thinking aloud.

Oh. Up here, a very few plant some winter wheat, but 30-50 below usually means no winter crops.

"It should NOT be unusual that this guy doesn't report everyone who asks."
It's been strongly suggested in the past, and is policy at many farm supply stores here in NC, to question anyone unfamiliar that attempts to purchase large amounts of ammonium nitrate.
I've seen enough photos of the guy, Hinrichs, to know that he wasn't your typical farmer type, and in fact looked a little schizoid in every picture I saw.
No one is saying that every single purchase of fertilizer is to be questioned, but this one had to have stood out. It should have been questioned and reported.

I've been cautious on this...but I'm leaning toward not just a depressed student. Ok, REALLY not just a depressed student.

"don't jihadists shave off their beards right before the big moment?"
That has been reported to be the case, yes. Part of a ritual preparation.

We have mild winters compared to you! If it gets below zero (let alone 20-30 below) we start whining!

But then, I only live around farmers, I am not one. But did you sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night?

I believe you're right :)

Now calm down!
"Known" is obviously very different from:
"all available and proven evidence points to"
"all available evidence points to"
"available evidence suggest"
"available indications are"
"indications suggest"
So a fed saying something is "known" is either because "it" is either an inescapable fact or utter fiction.

Ammo ... AMMOnium nitrate. Could be.

I love it here in Oklahoma, but I have to say, a lot of farmers look weird. I wouldn't want to have to be in that clerk's shoes and have to decide who I should report and who I shouldn't. I might be on the phone every time someone came in asking for AN. (And yes, some do wear cammos, more or less often depending on if they're doing some hunting after they put in the order for fertilizer.)

No, YOU calm down, lol.
To: RegulatorCountry
Also, according to one Freeper who saw the report, an off duty policeman was in the place and supposedly took down the guy's license plate numbers. Could be the clerk felt it was under control.
