the underlying thought is that the FRAMERS' mindset had a belief in a deity, a God, if you will. Such belief has not been evident in our Courts for at least a generation or two. When God got kicked out of our schools and the public forum, the laws started to change in a direction those FRAMERS could not have imagined. Perhaps by aligning with their belief in the deity, Ms. Miers' decisions will reflect that original intent.
That's quite a stretch.
It would have been simpler, and much more reliable to simply nominate someone with a proven track record of doing just that.
There's plenty of people like that around. The main reason for miers over someone like Janice Rogers Brown is that she's a stealth candidate.
