I was 9 also, but my parents were cheap and there was no such thing as easy care. Guess who ironed the mountains of shirts, table linens, handkerchiefs, etc. ?
Boy I sure got a Lot of Character. LOL!
I went to Catholic school. We had to do our own uniforms! I hate pleated skirts to this day!
