Please explain why the master stategeritian felt like he needed to come to the Rose Garden to explain something today. If this is all part of a great strategy, then it certainly did not take into account how his base would feel about it. He was CLUELESS, or worse VINDICTIVE.

The fact is, Bush was like a deer in the headlights. He had no clue why true conservatives would be upset - and he still doesn't. Which explains why he could not possibly be a true conservative. If he was he would understand how this was a HUGE betrayal.
