Meg - look at what we had when Clinton was Pres and the Republicans controlled congress - it worked really well! We had spending in control, effective welfare reform, big ideas moved forward.

With the Republicans running everything, it is a nightmare. Republicans used to stand for individual liberties, fiscal responsibility, and smaller government. Now, they seem to stand for whatever might keep them in power longer.

Working for the opposition is an effective way to bring change. The current Republican leaders are not conservative and are not doing their job. Working to get incompetent elected officials removed from their jobs is a sensible approach to the current disaster.
