You're right about all the child victims. It's a cycle that must be broken and the only way to stop it is to make it so these sex offenders are never back on the street again.
Just the other day in Des Moines, a registered sex offender took a 20 MONTH OLD GIRL and sexually assaulted her in the bathroom of the public library. What monster does that???
What good does it do to register them??? The law says you can't *harass* them....and the cities that have made sex offender free zones (which in DSM is about the whole city)have the the good ol' ACLU whining to SCOTUS about it. I'm sorry....you damage a person sexually---especially a child and you should have no civil liberties.
It has been said that these people cannot be rehabilitated. I believe that. And until we keep them all off the street forever, no child is safe. Build more prisons, seek the death penalty....whatever...just keep them away from our precious babies. I have a friend who works in juvenile rehabilitation center and he said these kids damage people because they too have been damaged somewhere down the line. I weep for these children.
List of things that you can do to abuse your child and turn him (or her) into a child abuser or problem adult later in life. Any of the following can work.
1. Berate them – Tell them how stupid, incompetent, ugly and lazy they are.
2. Belittle them in front of as many people as you can. Be sure to avoid contact with their teachers but when you must be sure to tell them about how incorrigible the child is at home.
3. Constantly criticize them and keep them out of contact with those who would get to know your child.
4. Withhold treats or food as punishment that they didn’t deserve. Force them to eat things they don’t like.
5. Poison their minds with fear. Be sure to tell them that some stranger could get them, the law is bad, and teachers are unfair and that most people of other races or economic levels are bad also.
6. Keep them out of activities where you are not there like clubs, church activities and scouting where other adults would interact with your child and find out what really is going on.
7. Sexually abuse them and threaten them with death or the death of a loved one if they told.
8. Allow them few if any friends and when friends visit be sure to make them feel unwelcome.
9. Never allow them to have many possessions and don’t show respect for those they have.
10. Never respect the child’s comments, ideas, goals or suggestions.
