DeLay's indictment may make this case more difficult for Hillary to explain it away and sweep it away. $1.9 million is not chump change, a demand was made of her in the original filing of the lawsuit, there are documents, and there are witnesses.
David Rosen was probably acquitted because it was not his responsibility to file the FEC reports ---- it was Andrew Grossman's. If the candidate knows false reports are being filed, it is the candidate's responsibility to fix the problem. Hillary knew. She did not fix it. She allowed the fraud to continue.
I don't think so. I think it has everything to do with weakening the Republicans before the Supreme Court nominations. Both leaders at the same time? It's not a coincidence. And the RINOS are too weak-kneed to stand together for the nuclear option. So, in effect, President Bush went with the logical choice...someone he trusted, someone that would get approved. A Conservative choice that was filibustered would show President Bush as weak and his party in shambles.
