Reid could say, "I was duped, the battle is ON!" and there could be an enormous knock-down drag-out fight over Mier.

I noted earlier and will repeat it for the record, President Bush nominated her today--MONDAY!--with many news cycles ahead. I do believe this is not a cut-and-dried issue, a foregone conclusion.

While spelling is not a strong point I was very bad on that day. You are indeed quite correct, mettle is correct indeed. I believe the President passed on a battle he needed to have. Unless he knows that another of the black robed dictators is stepping down and he will have another pick why not fight? Or perhaps we have decided to fight to close the open borders? No sorry, I don't recall seeing any of that in any of the web news outlets or blogs. Perhaps action to repeal campaign finance reform that took away my first amendment rights is underway? Nope, not in the news. I know we are striving to reduce the size of ,government, correct? Nothing about that out there either. I don't intend to be mean but what issue are going to fight a battle over? What issue is important enough? While this nomination may work out well for the court IMHO we will loose seats over this because we have no spine.
