Most managing partners I've come across are not exactly known for their legal scholarship. They are rainmakers, good managers, excellent leaders, but given the circumstances which made them the firm's choice to be managing partner, constitutional scholarship generally is not a criterion.

The constitution is just not that damn hard unless one has to have the ability to peer into the penumbras as the document itself gives off flux from its breathing.
