The jihadi material has been reported by LE officials who will not go on the record. This is pretty much unverifiable unless one of them WILL go on the record--or unless one of this guy's associates (he didn't seem to have actual friends) mentions seeing it at his apartment prior to the incident. If anyone (besides another johnny jihad that is) has seen this stuff, they will eventually give an interview somewhere.
If only they'd found Natalee Halloway in the debris, this story would finally have "legs."
Cover-up is how I took it -- just listened/watched it on the video from Channel 9. Interview is weird IMHO.

Well, there is the roommate, and possibly two other ME guys who were seen running from the scene Saturday night. That's four, if all of these were together, and that's about what they had in the UK bombings, 4 guys to a work-team. The rest of the cell staying out of the news of course.
It wouldn't surprise me if there's another "team" preparing another hit. They tend to keep trying if at first they don't succeed...

There was a report that evening on the long thread that someone had to take his young son out at half time and was able to walk around and find the one exit open.
I think the authorities did the right thing to padlock you in. First we know the guy was parading around with a Muslim beard, second was refused entry becuase of the backpack, third, he is next observed with his chin on his backpack when it explodes living only his legs and wallet.
The authorities who are not dumb put two and two together ASAP and closed down the stadium until all exits and surrounding areas could be swept for bombs. I think it would have been negligence had they not done so.
But we do have a real story here that our government apparently continuing in the Clintonesque vein is covering up. Compare this to the response of the London police who immediately told the whole world who these bombers were, what they looked like, where they lived, and what the explosive devices were made of. And also note, that London is far ahead of our country for once in attempting to get rid of the terrorists in the name of defending their country....
So until our subways are blown up (God forbid!!!), will our own government act in a clandestine way? All of us here at FR are after the same thing, to prevent the mass death that this young man apparently wanted to cause. To name the enemies within and deal with them openly as enemies. To hell with P.C.!

You're right about that. My guess is that Islamic center is a haunt for jihadists. Way too many historic connections between Norman and AlQaeda.

The reason why no one will go on the record is because they are afraid of the headcutters. That's the reason for all of the appeasement worldwide.

This is an FBI ruse called CYA - they don't want to look bad. If they had caught the guy BEFORE this happened, they would have taken credit for preventing a terrorist act.
Folks who generally want to commit suicide and succeed appear to be happy and euphoric instead of depressed. Those who do so as a call for help seem depressed and talk about it a lot. That does not mean that someone who talks about suicide won't succeed.

The girl that saw them fly by her and separate is sticking by her story I have been told. About ten of us (could have been more) heard her going on and on as she was animated.
I saw someone use that word "coverup" and you are correct -- from top to bottom. The words "move on -- nothing here" keep going through my mind.
